Nationwide is seeking a National Catastrophe (NATCAT) Field Claims Specialist II to support Personal Lines. You will conduct on-site inspections in catastrophe zones, determine coverages, write estimates with Xactimate, and manage the full claims lifecycle with a customer-first mindset.

You’ll travel up to 80% nationwide, often on short notice, and collaborate with internal teams while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 1
• License/Certification/Designation: State licensing where required and Xactimate certifications; obtain Level 1 within 1 year and Level 2 within 2 years.
• 2
• Experience: 3-5 years of related property claims experience or equivalent; customer service experience preferred; willing to work extended hours.
• 3
• Knowledge and skills: Insurance theory, property estimating, claims systems, rooftop inspections, and strong communication.

Responsabilités

• Hands-on field claims handling and on-site property inspections in catastrophe zones.

• Open, adjust, and resolve property claims from start to finish.

• Determine policy coverages and prepare estimates using Xactimate.

• Manage reserves and document throughout the claims lifecycle.

• Coordinate with Special Investigations Unit and Subrogation.

• Provide proactive updates to customers and ensure timely resolutions.
