Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Case Manager in Kansas City to assist clients in identifying community resources and steering them toward self-sufficiency. You will interview clients, assess overall needs, complete required paperwork, and maintain confidential case files.

Responsibilities include facilitating meetings, ensuring a substance-free environment, and coordinating transportation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Social Work from an accredited university; related experience may substitute.
• One year of case management experience.
• First Aid and CPR certification; if not certified, obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Interview potential clients to determine level of need.
• Assess client psychological, emotional, medical, financial, spiritual, and substance status.
• Complete paperwork and submit for weekly review by the program manager.
• Conduct orientation within 48 hours of admission and explain rules and rights.
• Attend and facilitate weekly house meetings as needed.
• Monitor activities to maintain a substance-free environment.
• Document sessions and incidents; maintain client case files daily.
• Provide transportation to appointments and generate reports as directed.
