General Summary

Under direction, supervises and manages activities of assigned staff in the Case Management section of Court Administration, overseeing case flow, assigning cases to Circuit Court Judges, preparing reports, and facilitating mediation.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and manage assigned staff activities.
  2. Evaluate staff work activities, provide training, and assign tasks.
  3. Oversee case flow and ensure compliance with SCAO Guidelines.
  4. Manage case management system and implement policies for efficient case handling.
  5. Maintain statistical reports and prepare reports for judges and agencies.
  6. Ensure effective mediation processes and facilitate panels.
  7. Coordinate with IT departments for automation and reporting needs.
  8. Serve as backup for staff functions as needed.
  9. Stay current through workshops and publications.
  10. Liaise with local, county, state, and federal agencies.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Public/Admin, Business Admin, or related; 5+ years in government/court setting.

Preferred: Master's Degree and supervisory experience.

Licenses & Knowledge
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license and insured vehicle.
  • Knowledge of court policies, procedures, and office equipment.
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to establish effective relationships, supervise staff, and work independently.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Primarily office environment; occasional travel; physical demands include sitting, walking, and manual dexterity.
