wedi Corporation (www.wedicorp.com), is the worldwide industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance and quality shower systems and backer board systems used in the construction of custom tiled wet rooms.

We are immediately hiring a Commercial Project Division (CPD) Manager (there is no home base where one must live as long as it's close to a commercial airport) who will be responsible for the market area of USA and Canada. The position works remotely with training events and meetings held in various states and at wedi's HQ in Batavia, Illinois, from time to time. The position reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and includes travel up to 30%, including overnights.

Key Responsibilities / Key Processes
  1. MANAGEMENT
    Expand, supervise, and manage wedi's Commercial Project Division (CPD). Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Regional Sales Managers, and Technical Sales Support Managers to develop sales plans and architectural strategies to grow the CPD business in the market areas. Promote business growth by identifying commercial building projects specified by architects; promote wedi products to architects, designers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Influence project specifications by explaining and promoting wedi's products and services, quoting specified or alternative wedi products, and supporting project phases through to completion. Develop and implement programs to educate and train architects, designers, and contractors to foster long-term relationships and continued product use.
  2. ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING
    Identify and maintain regional and national specifications by acting as a primary contact for architects, specifiers, designers, and engineers involved in US and Canadian projects. Provide education, specification reviews, installer referrals, and technical support. Update specifications, wedi's Master Specification Booklet, and BIM library. Participate in local architectural organizations and maintain a call log database to track activity.
  3. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
    Possess technical proficiency with waterproofing and tile backer board/underlayment products. Secure wedi product specifications for projects by engaging with architects, specifiers, and engineers. Conduct meetings, presentations, and CEU events to promote product specifications. Maintain technical data sheets and project management tools.
  4. QUOTING PROJECTS
    Calculate product types and quantities for projects to establish pricing. Present and track project quotes with architects and contractors.
  5. DISTRIBUTORS
    Support distributor networks and their architectural sales teams through product and sales training, and ongoing collaboration.
  6. CUSTOMER DATABASE
    Use lead management software and wedi's call log system to identify and track opportunities. Update activity logs daily and provide weekly reports.
  7. TRADE SHOWS
    Participate in regional and national trade shows. Assist in developing displays, promotional materials, and advertisements with marketing support.

  • Willing to travel up to 50% with overnight stays
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate necessary equipment
