ISM Global Logistics is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative in Charlotte, NC, onsite. You will own the carrier side of the load, sourcing capacity, negotiating rates, and keeping freight moving from pickup to delivery.

You’ll work daily with our carrier network and coordinate with account managers to ensure shipments stay on track. The role emphasizes strong negotiation, relationship-building, and active load management.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ years of experience in carrier sales or freight brokerage.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in communicating with carriers and customers.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms.

Aufgaben

• Source and secure carrier capacity for flatbed, hotshot and tiltbed freight.
• Negotiate rates with carriers to protect margin and keep ISM competitive.
• Build and maintain an active carrier database and onboard new carriers.
• Track shipments in transit and communicate ETAs, delays, or exceptions to carriers and teams.
• Resolve day-of issues like missed pickups, equipment problems, detention, or claims.
• Log and manage loads, carrier information, and rate history in the TMS.
• Partner with load reps and account managers to prioritize coverage.
• Stay current on market rates, capacity trends, and lane conditions to negotiate knowledgeably.
