Job summary

You will source carrier capacity, negotiate rates, and manage end-to-end shipments while maintaining strong customer and Account Manager communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in carrier sales, dispatch or freight brokerage operations.
• Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop or similar load boards.
• Experience vetting carriers and managing approvals.

Responsibilities

• Source and secure carrier capacity for truckload loads.
• Negotiate competitive rates while protecting margin.
• Vet and onboard carriers, confirming authority, insurance and safety ratings.
• Dispatch loads and track to delivery, updating customers and Account Managers.
• Resolve issues like breakdowns, delays, and detention.
• Build long-term relationships with carriers and dispatchers.
• Watch for fraud and double-brokering red flags.
• Maintain accurate load details, rates and checks in the TMS.
