Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing or Communication with 1-2 years of direct sales experience.
• Experience in the transportation industry.
• Knowledge of J.B. Hunt.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering necessary items from carrier to expedite onboarding.
• Track leads for new carriers that could develop into a working relationship to drive external capacity growth.
• Meet or exceed departmental goals for outbound calls, financial returns, and/or capacity growth.
• Explain the process to be an approved carrier and maintain status of activity in the qualification process.
• Evaluate and determine whether prospective carriers meet minimum contracting conditions including insurance and safety requirements.
• Create and deliver marketing materials and sales presentations to communicate our value proposition.
• Build relationships via cold-calling, email, and online databases to create a pipeline of contacts.
