Job summary

Redwood Logistics in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Carrier Development Representative to source and cultivate strong carrier relationships in our freight brokerage. You will negotiate rates, build carrier profiles, and coordinate with customers to maximize profitability while delivering exceptional service.

The role is onsite with a training period, then a mix of office days and remote work, and offers a robust commission structure plus benefits. Previous carrier sales or logistics exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Expand knowledge of transportation industry within carrier sales and Redwood operations.
• Build and maintain carrier profiles through research and networking.
• Engage carrier partners by phone with 80+ dials per day.
• Understand macro-market conditions and freight rate trends.
• Learn to negotiate freight rates to motor carriers for profitability.
• Coordinate customer freight with carrier equipment and Redwood postings.
• Provide service to motor carriers and resolve issues timely.
• Track shipments and address delays during transit.
• Verify freight charges and resolve payables discrepancies before payment.
