Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with traffic laws while supporting a caring environment for children.

The role requires a mature Christian faith, a valid driver's license with at least three years licensed, and the ability to pass background checks, MVR, and periodic drug testing.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with the Statement of Faith.
• Regular driver's license with at least three years of continuous licensing.
• CDL with passenger endorsement for vehicles seating over 15; for 15-passenger van, no special license.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 must submit physician statements annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or no traffic citations in the last 5 years.
• Background check and MVR required.
• Annual physician's statement for drivers with known medical conditions; drug/alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by the Director.
