Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to transport students and LifeWise volunteers between sites. The role requires maintaining a safe environment, obeying traffic laws, and ensuring bus safety and cleanliness.

You may also volunteer in the LifeWise classroom as agreed with the Director. Applicants must demonstrate a mature Christian faith, consistent church involvement, and a valid license with the appropriate CDL endorsement for larger vehicles.

Qualifications

• Requires a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine.
• Regular driver's license and at least 3 years licensed history.
• CDL with passenger endorsement required for vehicles seating >15.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 may need extra documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault incidents in 5 years.
• Must pass background check and annual Physician's Statement if medically required.
• Drug testing required pre-employment and periodically thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refueling as needed.
• Create a safe, calm environment for students and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students in boarding and exiting the vehicle as required.
