Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature, punctual individual with a clean driving record and a strong sense of responsibility.

Qualifications include regular and CDL licenses as applicable, church alignment with our beliefs, and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests. Part-time, non-exempt hourly position with classroom volunteering optional.

Qualifications

• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug testing as required.
• Age 21–80 years; additional documentation for drivers over 75.
• CDL with P endorsement for 15+ passenger vehicles; for 15-passenger van no special license required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules; assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor; monitor students for misbehavior.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
