Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. seeks a Cargo Claim Prevention Manager to implement methods and standards that reduce cargo loss and damage while supporting service centers in OS&D mitigation across a defined region.

Responsibilities include training staff on proper loading techniques, managing claim investigations with leadership, and driving continuous improvement in operations and efficiency within a full-time role based in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Transportation, Logistics or related area.
• Operations management or supervisory experience required.
• Prefer OS&D and/or claims prevention experience in transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support claim prevention activities across the assigned region to reduce OS&D.
• Assist service centers with high value shortages and damages.
• Ensure compliance with OS&D, claims, and prevention policies.
• Guide and train staff on loading/freight handling techniques.
• Help reduce exposure to lost freight and improve tracking/traceability.
• Assist in disposition of over, astray, refused, and salvage freight.
• Identify deficiencies in dock/PS&D operations contributing to delays.
• Analyze OS&D trends to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Interact with shippers/consignees to minimize claims.
• Issues root-cause analyses with leadership to prevent nonconformance.
