AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Cargo Claim Prevention Manager to implement and administer methods, procedures, and standards to prevent cargo loss and damage across a defined region.

The role supports OS&D mitigation efforts, improves operational efficiencies and service quality within the geographic area. You will lead OS&D prevention initiatives, train service center personnel on loading and freight handling, and collaborate with executives to identify root causes of claims and

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Transportation, Logistics or related area.
• Operations management/supervisory experience.
• Experience in OS&D and/or claims prevention in the transportation industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software and OS&D computer related programs.
• Familiarity with basic cargo claims liability.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Extensive travel required as needed and/or directed.

Responsibilities

• Support all claim prevention activities across the assigned region, including OS&D and operations personnel.
• Guide, train, and support Service Center personnel on proper loading and freight handling techniques.
• Guide and train on bill control functions to reduce exposure to lost freight claims.
• Manage disposition of over, astray, refused, and salvage freight.
• Identify root causes of OS&D and assist with plans to eliminate nonconformance.
• Interact with shippers and consignees to reduce claims.
• Work with senior leadership to identify root causes of OS&D and improve efficiency.
• Investigate, minimize, and resolve high value, technical, and complicated claims.
