Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. seeks a Cargo Claim Prevention Manager to implement methods and standards to prevent cargo loss and damage within the designated region, supporting service centers, OS&D and operations to reduce claims and improve service quality.

You will train staff on loading and freight handling, guide bill control functions, and work with leadership to identify root causes of OS&D while coordinating with claims prevention leadership. Travel is extensive as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Transportation, Logistics or related field.
• Operations management or supervisory experience.
• Preferably OS&D and/or claims prevention in transportation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and OS&D programs.
• Extensive travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support claim prevention across assigned region including OS&D and operations.
• Guide and train service center personnel on loading and freight handling techniques.
• Assist service centers in reducing exposure to lost freight claims and improve efficiency.
• Identify OS&D trends to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Investigate and resolve high-value, technical, and complicated claims.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify root causes of OS&D and corrective actions.
• Distribute disposition of over, astray, salvage freight.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department General Manager.
