Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Cargo Claims Adjuster in Houston, TX to manage the claims process for domestic and international cargo and contract logistics. You will review claims, set reserves, and prepare settlements with support from finance and legal teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work across departments with multiple stakeholders. A license and related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Risk Management or equivalent preferred.
• Two years related experience.
• All Lines Adjuster License.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, procedures, or regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds and present information.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of Excel/database analytics to assist in pricing and review claims for accuracy.
• Administer reserves per applicable contract.
• Investigate claims and document files for settlement or declination.
• Prepare settlement authorizations and presentations for approval and follow-up with management/insurance.
• Act as a resource to defense attorneys in litigation and research legal matters.
• Liaise between company and insurance carrier on large occurrences.
• Develop and generate detailed management reports.
• Coordinate with finance to align reserves.
