Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Claims Specialist to manage a portfolio of claims from intake to resolution. The role demands strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication within our global network.

The position can be worked from any of the 4 Expeditors CHQ locations in Lynnwood, Factoria, Seattle, or Federal Way, and requires proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience in claims processing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years professional work or related experience.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong documenting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Claim set up and initial claim investigation.
• Input required data fields and save documents.
• Communicate with Expeditors global network and service providers.
• Identify responsible parties for claims and determine liability.
• File claims with service providers in a timely and professional manner.
• Escalate claims to appropriate parties when delays occur.
• Collect payment details from customers and submit to accounting.
• Ensure timely payment to customers and maintain accurate electronic files.
