Job summary

Companions & Homemakers, Inc. is hiring caregivers to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut.

You will follow each client's Plan of Care, transport clients, assist with daily tasks, and offer companionship in a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in options. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with reliable vehicle, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience (home care, HHA, CNA, PCA, or companion) preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred to cover various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care as needed.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need
