Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring in Connecticut to provide compassionate, non-medical home care. You will follow each client's Plan of Care, offer companionship, and help with daily activities in multiple CT service areas.

We value reliability and open availability, with a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in shifts. A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a background check are required, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver''s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, or PCA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client''s Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need
