Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring to support Connecticut seniors with compassionate, non-medical home care. You will follow each client’s Plan of Care, provide transportation to appointments, and assist with light housekeeping and daily tasks. Your role fosters dignity and independence in a family-like environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and open availability. Prior caregiver experience is a plus, and ongoing training is provided.

• Assist with daily activities to support independence and comfort.
• Foster companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
