Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut is hiring caregivers for flexible, weekday, weekend, overnight, and live-in shifts. You will provide non-medical home care and assist with daily tasks while ensuring safety and companionship for clients.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Open availability and prior caregiver experience are pluses.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care


• Transport clients to appointments and activities


• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping


• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care


• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support


• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED


• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle


• Ability to pass a criminal background check


• Open availability preferred


• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
