Job summary

Companions & Homemakers, Inc. is hiring to provide dedicated non-medical home care across Connecticut service areas. You will follow each client's Plan of Care, transport to appointments, assist with daily tasks, and offer companionship with a caring presence.

Flexible shifts include weekdays, weekends, overnights, and Live-In options. We value reliability and compassion. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and a reliable vehicle are required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
