Job summary

Companions & Homemakers, Inc. is hiring across Connecticut for caring, non-medical home care professionals. You will follow each client's personalized Plan of Care, transport clients to activities, and assist with daily tasks and mobility needs. Flexible shifts, including overnights and live-in, are available.

We offer competitive hourly pay, overtime options, and benefits such as medical/dental coverage and a 401(k). A referral bonus is also provided for bringing in qualified caregivers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver or similar role preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care per client Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meals, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Aid with dressing, bathing, mobility and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence - offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
