Job summary

Covenant Glen of Frankenmuth is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our dedicated team. This part-time role provides personal care, mobility support, meal assistance, and daily living help to our elderly residents in a warm, family-like setting.

The right candidate enjoys one-on-one care, holds a High School Diploma or equivalent (or has CNA/HHA experience), and can lift up to 50 pounds. Benefits include competitive pay, flexible hours, health insurance, PTO and sick leave, and a 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients.

• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report incidents and respond to emergencies.
• Support daily living activities including meals and hydration.

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can‑do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to do so successfully.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one‑on‑one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job‑related duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day.
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in‑home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• Supportive and compassionate.
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.
• Take pride in providing high quality care.
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).
