Job summary

Pineview Cottage in Harbor Springs, MI is seeking compassionate caregivers for part-time and full-time roles on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, medications, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and daily living activities, with a starting pay of $24/hour.

We welcome candidates with healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and continuously learning new skills.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day.
• Demonstrated compassion and supportive demeanor.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care (min 1 year).
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• Pride in providing high quality care; compassionate approach.
• Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (bathing, showering, dressing, eating).
• Assist with prescribed medications and ambulation.
• Support mobility around home and during doctor’s visits.
• Plan and prepare meals for clients.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises as directed.
• Complete client shopping or accompany to appointments.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Report unusual incidents promptly and act in emergencies.
• Assist with daily living activities, including serving meals.

Pineview Cottage, Northern Michigan's premier assisted living community, is looking for part-time and full-time compassionate caregivers to join our growing team on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift! The right candidates have a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
