Job summary

The Reserve at Orchard Lake in West Bloomfield, MI is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our team. This full-time position focuses on providing personalized care in a one-on-one setting, assisting residents with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and medication support.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Active availability for nights and weekends.
• HS diploma or CNA/HHA training or CNA program completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Assist with medication reminders and mobility.
• Assist with mobility to appointments and activities outside the home.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Support daily living activities and documentation as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and shopping tasks for residents.
• Monitor resident well‑being and report any issues immediately.
• Support residents with meals and related tasks as required.

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can‑do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one‑on‑one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job‑related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in‑home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent / Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
