SERCO OF TEXAS - BRAZOS VALLEY is seeking a Career Center Navigator to help job seekers with computer-based resources, resumes, applications, and job search activities. You will maintain the resource room and guide clients toward employment goals.

The role involves workshops, data entry, advising on employment services like America’s Job Bank and Work in Texas, and ensuring a welcoming environment while tracking client progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience using a variety of computer software programs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to the mission of SERCO.
• Assists customers in navigating computer-based information sources such as America’s Job Bank, Work in Texas, and My Texas Careers.
• Assists customers with preparation of resumes and applications.
• Explains to customer varieties of software programs available for their use.
• Monitors computers and printers to insure they are in good working order; performs limited troubleshooting and submits requests for maintenance when required.
• Obtains and maintains occupational and labor market information.
• Maintains information on self-assessment, career planning, occupations, employment opportunities, and other trends.
• Keeps an accurate usage record for Resource Room and performs data entry for reports.
