Job summary

SERCO OF TEXAS - CONCHO VALLEY is seeking a Career Center Services Assistant to help job seekers access resources, create resumes, and understand eligibility for services. You will conduct intake, interview clients, and manage records using TWIST.

You will also coordinate outreach to employers in the Concho Valley and support job placement efforts while delivering orientation to job seekers. A valid Texas driver's license and transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with interviewing customers to assess training needs, education needs, employment needs, and labor market trends.
• Preferred experience in sales and customer job placement.
• Must possess and provide a valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Liability Insurance.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to travel within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in navigating computer-based information sources such as America’s Job Bank, Work in Texas, and My Texas Careers.
• Assist customers with the preparation of resumes and applications.
• Interviews customers or their authorized representatives to assess service needs.
• Maintain detailed participant records in compliance with agency policies.
• Input information into and maintain TWIST records daily.
• Coordinate outreach activities to prospective employers in the Concho Valley.
