SERCO OF TEXAS - BRAZOS VALLEY seeks a Rural Career Navigator to provide workforce services, including career navigation, registration assistance, and referrals to education, training, and community resources in a rural Texas office.

The role collaborates with Eligibility Specialists, program managers, and partners to support WIOA, SNAP E&T, and Choices case management. Strong organizational and bilingual communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with at least two years of relevant experience in workforce services, case management, human services, customer service, or related fields; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, business, education, social sciences, or related field preferred.
• Bilingual communication skills pertinent to the assigned service area are desirable.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, virtual meeting tools, and electronic case management systems or the ability to learn them.
• Familiarity with rural employment opportunities, transportation barriers, and community resources in Brazos Valley.

Responsabilités

• Welcome customers and assess service needs; assist with general registration and referrals.
• Assist with WorkInTexas.com, job applications, resumes, interview prep, and job search activities.
• Develop and update individualized employment plans with clear next steps and follow-up dates.
• Maintain caseloads with regular participant contact and progress monitoring.
• Coordinate with partners on referrals, employer connections, and training opportunities.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance within timelines; report issues to management.
• Travel between rural offices as required and operate in-person, telephone, or virtual settings.
• Record and track participation hours, earnings, and outcomes; maintain confidentiality.
