Job summary

Ross Innovative Employment Solutions seeks a Resource Specialist to support the American Job Center. You will greet participants, connect them with resources, assist with job applications, and coordinate with partners to ensure smooth service flow.

You will help maintain the resource room, manage scheduling, and assist with data collection, orientations, and workshops while safeguarding participant information and requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to solve problems effectively and independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Positive, professional interactions with participants and staff.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and verbal communication abilities.
• Educational requirement: Associates degree preferred.
• Customer service experience is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative duties for the American Job Center (AJC).
• Greets and assists program participants and visitors.
• Introduces customers to resources available within the AJC.
• Assists customers with job applications, resumes, and emails.
• Coordinates with One Stop Coordinator on project needs.
• Collaborates with AJC partners to ensure smooth service flow.
• Obtains and disseminates community resources information.
• Oversees and assists in the resource room.
• Responds promptly to partner needs and requests.
• Disseminates social service agency information to customers.
• Maintains current printed community resources in the AJC.
• Operates office equipment effectively.
• Schedules conference room usage as required.
• Coordinates with One Stop Coordinator and community groups for referrals.
• Maintains space and supplies in the resource room.
• May assist with data collection for programs.
• Ensures data privacy and PII compliance.
• Assists with workshop setup and orientation as needed.
• Schedules orientation, intake appointments, and participant contact.
• Supports outreach and recruitment for the AJC's.
• Attends trainings and meetings as required.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
