Job summary

The Career Center Specialist at Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers coordinates day-to-day activities in the career center to assist unemployed or underemployed individuals. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• 3–5 years of experience in a career services related field.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage visitors and callers professionally and warmly.
• Coordinate production and distribution of MailChimp emails and maintain contact list.
• Obtain client information and track it in the client management system.
• Maintain familiarity with career center and community resources.
• Assist clients with using resources and provide guidance.
• Support marketing of Career Center services to local employers and agencies.
• Coordinate and contribute to the career center's services, events, and programs.
• Develop and facilitate Career Center orientation and classes.
• Schedule classes, arrange internal interviews, and reserve rooms.
• Refer clients to other Goodwill SR programs as appropriate.
• Data entry for client contact, retention calls, attendance, etc.
• Perform filing, photocopying, mass mailings and related tasks.
• Conduct outreach calls and surveys to clients.
• Collaborate with teammates to promote job openings and services.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and facility by following safety standards.
