Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana seeks a Career Navigator to design and execute individualized career plans for program participants. You will mentor clients, assess needs, and coordinate with service providers to help move participants toward self-sufficiency.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain detailed case records while navigating program guidelines and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of BA or BS degree or one year of experience in criminal justice, social work, employment counseling, placement, human services, or public administration.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain case documentation for every case management session and update records.
• Develop individualized career plans with active listening and needs assessment.
• Suggest development activities and actionable steps to participants.
• Monitor progress and adjust goals to improve outcomes.
• Conduct travel and meetings to assist participants and provide referrals.
• Liaise with program partners to deliver supportive services.
• Stay current with rules and attend workshops and seminars.
• Inform Program Manager of unusual or crisis situations.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.
