Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You’ll follow planned menus, ensure quality, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen. You’ll interact with residents and staff, support inventory, and perform other duties as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cooking experience preferred, and ability to meet physical demands. Vaccination policies apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, staff, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
