Job summary

Responsibilities

• Register new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling appointments, ensuring demographic and insurance information is complete.
• Ensure all initial consultations, notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are available to the physician prior to arrival.
• Open chart encounters in AthenaOne and maintain patient records for reference.
• Greet and room patients, take vitals, and create clinical visit summaries.
• Enter orders and e-prescribe information; schedule follow-ups and coordinate care.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, billing, and communication with physician staff to ensure continuity of care.
