Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Care Coordinator to handle clerical and patient service duties in the physician's office. You will register new patients in the EMR, prepare charts, and ensure clinicians have the necessary notes and reports prior to visits.

You will greet patients, take vitals, process orders, schedule follow-ups, and coordinate referrals while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Experience in medical setting preferred (1-2 years).

Responsibilities

• Register new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling.
• Ensure all notes and reports are available to the physician prior to visits.
• Greet patients, room them, and take vitals.
• Enter orders and E-Prescribe information where applicable.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
