Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator who will manage the end-to-end scheduling of procedures, tests and follow-ups for our patients. You will ensure accurate details, timely notifications, and clear instructions across locations and teams.

In this role you will maintain multiple scheduling systems, coordinate with physicians, staff and external partners, and help optimize throughput while delivering compassionate, patient-centered service every day.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 3-5 years related work experience preferred.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for procedures, post-operative appointments, tests, surgery, follow-up and wait lists.
• Notifies patients of scheduled procedures in person and by mail with complete details.
• Maintains scheduling applications and patient data; coordinates resources and staff.
• Communicates schedules daily and updates staff with revisions.
• Acts as liaison to internal departments and external resources; obtains preauthorization and referrals.
