Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a Referral Coordinator to manage intake of referrals for home health services. You will verify physician credentials, coordinate care, and ensure payer coverage is in place before admission.

The role requires 1+ year in healthcare, strong computer skills, and knowledge of Medicare processes. Day shifts, full-time, in a hospital-adjacent setting with supporting benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Associate's Degree [Preferred]
• 1+ year of healthcare experience [Required]
• Experience working in a Medicare certified homecare agency [Preferred]
• Knowledge of Medicare billing processes and privacy regulations [Preferred]
• Strong computer skills and customer service orientation [Required]

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake of all referrals from hospitals, physician offices and other sources.
• Verify physicians ordering homecare are licensed and able to participate in Medicare.
• Perform care coordination upon receipt of referrals and verify payer coverage.
• Maintain scheduling and liaison with billing to ensure timely processing and coding.
• Enter and update referrals in the system and track status of admissions.
