Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant or LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course completed.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows and basic patient care practices.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, ensuring a compassionate experience.
• Coordinate patient check-in/check-out and verify insurance.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and ensure compliance.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during visits.
• Collect specimens and assist with lab workflows.
• Administer medications/vaccinations per orders.
• Follow up with patients 2–3 days after discharge.
