Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in the Stroudsburg area is seeking a Medical Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling registration, check-in/out, and basic clinical support under provider supervision.

You will maintain EMR accuracy, assist with exams and procedures, collect specimens, administer medications per orders, and help ensure a seamless, high-quality patient experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma as Medical Assistant or completion of LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient check-in and check-out with accurate registration and information collection.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments (co-pays or self-pay).
• Schedule appointments and optimize clinic workflow.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and assist providers during exams.
• Assist with specimen collection, vaccinations, and patient procedures.
• Provide follow-up calls within 2–3 days post-discharge.
