Texas Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians during clinic visits and coordinate care outside of visits. You will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, assist with injections and dressings, and help schedule surgeries and imaging.

Travel between clinic locations is required. The role includes post-operative follow-up calls, authorizations, and care coordination to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program is preferred.
• CMA certification preferred but not required.

Mansioni

• Assist physicians with patient care during clinic visits.
• Prepare exam rooms, vital signs, injections, and dressings.
• Apply casts/bracing with Cast/Orthopedic Technician as needed.
• Issue prescriptions, therapy orders, and home exercise instructions per physician.
• Coordinate scheduling of surgeries, imaging, and therapy appointments.
• Obtain prior authorizations and insurance clearances.
• Perform postoperative follow-up calls to assess recovery and address concerns.
• Enter all patient information in EMR and maintain accurate records.
• Travel between clinic locations as needed.
