Job summary

Texas Spine Consultants is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in providing exceptional musculoskeletal care in an orthopedic setting.

The MA will prepare patients for examinations, assist with orthopedic procedures such as casting and wound care, and manage EMR documentation. The role requires strong communication, organization, and HIPAA compliance. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred, CMA/RMA/CCMA or accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with orthopedic procedures.
• Take vital signs, assist with casting, bracing, and wound care.
• Record and manage documentation in EMR within 24 hours of visit.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and supplies.
• Handle medication prescriptions/orders and imaging/lab requests as directed by providers.
