Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT certification required.
• BLS certification preferred or must obtain prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during procedures by assembling supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and organize sterile supplies; perform surgical counts with RN.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with draping and aseptic technique.
• Retrieve specimens, label properly, and report implanted devices as needed.
• Assist with pre/post procedure cleaning and on-call duties as scheduled.
• Participate in patient safety and ongoing competency activities.
