Job summary

Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team.

This is a collective bargaining unit position with rotating shifts (6:30a-3p, 2:30p-11p, 10:30p-7a) and on-call responsibilities within 30 minutes of request. The role involves scrubbing on all procedures, sterilization of instruments, and assisting the circulating nurse and surgeon under supervision.

Qualifications

• CPR – American Heart Association is required.
• Surgical Technology Certification preferred – required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs on operative procedures under supervision.
• Assist in sterile setup and instrument handling.
• Maintain sterile technique and instrument care.
• Assist in draping, gowning and gloving during procedures.
• Ensure readiness of equipment and supply inventory.
