Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative at Executive Parkway Medical Office Building to deliver exceptional patient care from first contact through registration. You will verify demographics, collect insurance information, process appointments, transcribe orders and explain financial options while maintaining accurate records and patient privacy.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and prior healthcare registration experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient registration or healthcare processes.
• Excellent customer service and communication with patients.
• Ability to schedule appointments and verify demographics and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the first line of quality service to patients and community.
• Process patient registration, verify demographics, obtain insurance cards, and patient IDs.
• Schedule appointments, transcribe orders, and explain financial options to patients.
• Update medical records accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service and cover other physician practice locations as needed.
• Handle admissions paperwork including basic insurance verification.
• Record time indicators for lobby wait times and reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Process charge entry for external services and assist with referrals and MyChart.
• Assist patients with obtaining referrals and necessary authorizations.
