Job summary

Scripps Health is hiring a Patient Service Representative for the Cardiology department at the Anderson Medical Pavilion in La Jolla. You will be the frontline in delivering a positive patient experience, handling registration, scheduling, and payments with attention to accuracy.

The role involves check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and processing referrals, working Monday–Friday from 8AM–5PM in a full-time capacity. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to gather information for accurate registration.
• Experience with medical billing inquiries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and providers to gather information for registration.
• Respond to billing and payment inquiries.
• Manage check-in/check-out process and verify demographics/insurance.
• Schedule and confirm appointments and enter insurance details.
• Initiate referrals/authorizations.
• Provide proactive customer service and escalate as needed.
