Qualifications

• Student pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (SolidWorks preferred).
• Knowledge of rapid prototype manufacturing and statistical analysis.
• Understanding of experimental design and test method development.
• Root Cause Analysis and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of mechanics and fluid flow; medical device development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility testing including part inspection, root cause investigations, fixture development, and device testing.
• Prototype devices via rapid prototyping or assembly on procured subcomponents.
• Develop and validate test methods and fixture designs; perform evaluations on usability and forces.
• Analyze data statistically and compare to baseline data.
• Provide flexible support across access device, component, and kit development.
