Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Danvers, MA is seeking a Product Development Engineering Co-Op to join our ECP Product Development Team on next-generation heart pump and vascular access technologies. This hands-on role focuses on designing, building, and evaluating medical device components and test fixtures.

You will work with cross-functional teams, perform bench testing, develop test methods, create 3D CAD models, and analyze data to drive engineering conclusions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong hands-on lab work and test setup building.
• Foundational knowledge of design, mechanics, experimentation, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute bench testing (feasibility, characterization, simulated-use, and design verification).
• Develop and improve test methods, fixtures, and measurement repeatability.
• Create 3D CAD designs and support prototyping via 3D printing or machining.
• Collect and interpret test data, summarize results, and present conclusions.
