Job summary

Summa Health System – Barberton Campus is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the 2E Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. This full-time role requires evening shifts with flexibility to cover 24-hour patient care operations, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.

The position supports the RN Nurse Manager, leads a 34-bed unit, and focuses on safe, efficient patient care with strong teamwork and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE or ACEN-accredited nursing program.
• BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current Ohio nursing license to practice.
• Clinical Certification preferred or required within two years.

Responsibilities

• Act as unit-based resource supporting the RN Nurse Manager for 24-hour patient care operations.
• Plan and develop short-, mid-, and long-term goals to improve unit operations.
• Coach and evaluate patient care staff and manage the unit budget and initiatives.
