Summa Health System – Barberton Campus is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the 4S Medical Surgical Unit. The role supports the RN Nurse Manager across shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in a 28-bed unit with telemetry and complex care patients.

The position requires BSN, Ohio nursing license, and at least 3 years of nursing leadership experience, with certification preferred. Compensation includes a base salary range and comprehensive benefits; weekend and on-call

Qualifications

• BSN degree and Ohio nursing license are required.
• CCNE or ACEN accreditation for the nursing program is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred; clinical leadership certification is preferred or required within two years.

Responsibilities

• Support the RN Nurse Manager in 24-hour patient care operations.
• Plan and develop short-, mid-, and long-term unit goals and processes.
• Coach and evaluate patient care staff and manage performance.
• Assist with unit budget and ROI calculations; participate in evidence-based practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes.
