Job summary

Summa Health System – Akron Campus invites applications for an RN on 5W Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. The role is full-time, 36 hrs/week, 7p-7:30a, every other weekend/holiday, caring for congestive heart failure patients.

The unit is 32-bed with 1:4 to 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios. It offers a residency and comprehensive benefits. BSN strongly preferred; Ohio RN license required; ACLS training within six months for new hires.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred with CCNE/ACEN accreditation knowledge.
• Ohio RN license current and active.
• One year of practice in cardiac/critical care or relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate and/or delegate nursing care on a 32-bed unit.
• Manage resources and ensure patient safety and optimal health outcomes.
• Maintain professional standards and ongoing ACLS within six weeks for eligible hires.
