Job summary

VHC Health seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diverse cardiac ultrasound exams for inpatients and outpatients. You will assist in echocardiograms, stress echoes, and intra-operative echocardiograms, supporting the cardiologist with standard and intra-operative TEEs in the cath lab for structural heart cases.

The role requires reporting accuracy, efficient computer skills, and strong communication. Certification within 12 months is expected, with BLS on record.

Qualifications

• One year of hospital-based echocardiography is required.
• One year of experience in intra-operative/structural heart echo and TEE assistance is preferred.
• One year of experience in 3D and strain imaging knowledge is preferred.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ADRMS to be obtained within 12 months.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must have efficient computer skills and be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing echocardiograms, stress echoes, and intra-operative echocardiograms.
• Support cardiologist with standard transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and intra-operative TEE in cath lab for structural heart cases.
• Type preliminary reports and maintain documentation.
